Petaluma Accessory Dwelling Unit

The unique challenge for this project was access to the site and the limited space available for construction. Redwood Builders fit a 275 square foot granny unit between the minimum setbacks of the property line on 2 sides and the existing main home on a third side. The small but efficient unit maximizes space by utilizing a large storage loft and an open studio style floor plan. This granny unit has a full bathroom, a combo under-counter clothes washer/dryer, an efficient kitchen, and a super efficient hybrid electric water heater and a split system heater/air conditioner.
